About Library

The library is a pulsing heart of an Education Institution, Our library has wide range of books National & International journals dedicated to the Pharmacy and Pharmaceuticals science. The enormous growth in the collection demands creation of various sections such as circulation section, Reference books, Multimedia Section, Reading Room. The growth is not only in the collections but also in the member of readers. It is the result of the various efforts taken by the library to attract the users. The salient features of the library are Book Jacket display, New arrival book list, Internet access, Open access for Periodicals, spacious reading room, Book Bank Scheme, NDL, Swayam, NPTEL and E-books etc.

Library Resources

The library has a very good collection of books and journals related to pharmacy and allied sciences. It has two sections that is reference and issue section. At present library has books worth Rs. 6 Lakhs which includes valuable titles from the various subjects like Pharmaceutics and Pharmaco-kinetics, Medicinal chemistry, Quality assurance, Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical chemistry (Inorganic & Organic), Biochemistry, BioTechnology, Microbiology, Molecular biology, Pharmacognosy, Pharmacology, Pathology, Anatomy &Physiology, Physical Pharmacy.

Library Services

E–Books :

In order to satisfy the user needs the library provides the following services.
  • Reference Service :

    This section is open from 9.00a.m. to 4:00 p.m. except on Sundays. It has a copy of all the books procured by the library and it is for use within the library only.

  • Borrowing Service :

    This section has a collection of all the textbooks. They are issued out of the library for a period of seven days. The section is open from 9.00 a.m. to 4.00p.m

  • Computerized Library :

    Library is equipped with library automation software. It provides facility of online book search” title or author wise”. The cataloging & monitoring of issue -return is important feature.

  • Reprographic Service :

    Photocopying services (Xerox) are provided on payment of Rs 2 per page

Library Rules

  • Library will be open from 09:00 AM to 5.00PM

  • For availing library facility, students must be registered their name in the library.

  • Please maintain silence in the Library. Gossiping , Chatting is strictly prohibited

  • While borrowing a book users should ensure the book is in the proper condition

  • After the period of 7 days Rs. 2/- per day will be charged on overdue material.

  • Library users should enter their name, department, arrival time as well as departure time in the register at the property counter before entering the library or leaving the library.

  • Any unreasonable argument with the library staff will be treated as misconduct.

  • Library users should not deposit costly things at the counter. Library staff will not be responsible for the damage / loss/ theft of such things

  • Mobiles, Walkman, CD player, are strictly prohibited in the library. The library staff will seize such items if student is found using above said accessories.

  • Reading material should be returned in the proper condition in the prescribed time.

  • Newspapers, magazines and journals must be read only in the library on specific tables and should not be taken to any other reading areas.

  • Reference books, text books, unbound issues of journals, periodicals, newspapers and technical reports are not issued out of the library to anybody.

  • Students should take care of cleanliness of the library.

  • Outsiders are not allowed in the library without the permission of the authority concerned.
